MuSync

Musync is a fictional app created for streaming music, providing a diverse library of sensory-friendly music for those with sensory sensitivity. MuSync is an accessible and relieving app, meant to help calm users through music. Because the app can be used for kids or adults, a vibrant color palette makes the user feel welcomed and organic button shapes break away from the typical sharp cornered rectangle.

The name MuSync is created from “music” and “synchronization”. The name is inspired by the brand’s mission of stabilizing the union of one’s emotional state when they are feeling over stimulated

After the user logs into the app for the first time and answers a short questionnaire, MuSync provides music categorized by four scenarios where the user might experience sensory overload. These categories are bed time, calm down, focus mode, and creative mode. Each of these categories provides a variety of music genres for the user to listen to and favorite songs in order to stabilize their overstimulation.

This concept was developed in collaboration with Celine Isaacs, Keegan Smith, Pui Lam Wan, and Katherine Crater.
